The breakfast table was unusually lively.

Rayyan was talking.

Which wasn't unusual.

The unusual part was that nobody could stop him.

"Listen to me."

He announced dramatically.

"No."

Daniyal replied immediately.

"Nobody asked."

Rayyan ignored him.

"As I was saying..."

"You weren't saying anything useful."

aleena interrupted.

Roohi laughed softly.

Aleena shook her head.

"What a family."

The smile on Roohi's face widened.

For the first time in days...

She felt relaxed.

Comfortable.

At home.

And across the table...

Zayan noticed.

Unfortunately.

Because lately...

He kept noticing things.

Very annoying things.

Like how Roohi smiled.

Or laughed.

Or how she always listened when someone spoke.

Dangerous observations.

Extremely dangerous.

"Enough."

Aleena suddenly declared.

Everyone looked up.

"I've decided."

The family immediately looked suspicious.

Very suspicious.

Aleena smiled.

"We are going out today."

The room exploded.

"Really?!"

rayyan grinned.

"Finally!"

Rayyan cheered.

"About time."

Daniyal agreed.

Roohi blinked.

"Where?"

"A family picnic."

Aleena announced proudly.

Silence.

Then—

"A picnic?"

Rayyan looked horrified.

"mumma we're rich." rayyan say with a grin

"I am not coming" zayan say aleena glared at him "you will!" aleena say "Mumma you know i don't go out-" zayan pause after seeing roohi looking at him from pleading eyes and zayan groan softly under his breath

"fine" zayan say "ohoooooo! babhi what a magic!-" a cushion immediately hit him from zayan

(A few hours later...)

Everyone arrived at a large family park.

The weather was perfect.

Children played nearby.

Families sat under trees.

The atmosphere felt peaceful.

Exactly what everyone needed.

Especially Roohi.

For the first time in days...

No one was insulting her.

No one was judging her.

No one was making her question herself.

She simply laughed.

And enjoyed herself.

Meanwhile...

Someone was watching.

Not intentionally.

Definitely not intentionally.

Zayan looked away immediately.

Then accidentally looked back.

Again.

And again.

Very annoying.

Extremely annoying.

"You're staring."

Zayan nearly rolled his eyes.

Rayyan.

Of course.

"I am not."

"You are."

"I am not."

"You are."

"I'll leave you here."

Rayyan grinned.

"Possessive already?"

Zayan looked genuinely offended.

"Are you trying to die?"

Later...

Everyone split into smaller groups.

Hania dragged Daniyal away. yep hania because daniyal come becaise hania was coming and hania come because daniyal was coming...

Aleena sat with some of her friends she find with coincidence nearby.

Rayyan disappeared for snacks.

Which left—

Roohi.

And Zayan.

Alone. roohi was munching on her popcorn quitely and zayan was on his phone checking email of work because why not..

For exactly three minutes.

Then disaster struck.

A young man approached.

Politely.

Respectfully.

"Excuse me."

Roohi looked up. shoked

"Yes?"

The stranger smiled nervously.

"I just wanted to say..."

Roohi blinked.

"...you have a very beautiful smile."

Silence.

Absolute silence.

Roohi froze.

The stranger immediately looked embarrassed.

"I mean—"

Before he could continue—

A shadow appeared beside her.

A very tall shadow.

A very dangerous shadow.

Zayan.

The stranger looked up.

And instantly regretted every decision that had led him here.

Zayan's expression remained calm.

Too calm.

The terrifying kind.

"She's married."

The stranger nodded so fast it was almost impressive.

"Oh...M-My bad..."

Then he practically ran away.

Roohi stared.

Then stared at Zayan.

Then stared again.

"Mr.. Khan?"

"Yes?"

"What was that?"

"Nothing."

"It didn't look like nothing."

"It was nothing."

Roohi looked unconvinced.

Very unconvinced.

And somewhere nearby...

Rayyan had witnessed everything.

Every single thing.

And was currently trying not to scream.

Because for the first time...

Zayan Khan had looked jealous.

Very jealous.

Even if he would deny it for the rest of his life.
